2024 Beijing Auto Show: Chevrolet Explorer Plus launches

At the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, Chevrolet Explorer Plus(parameter | inquiry) was officially launched, and a total of 4 new models were launched. This car is positioned as a mid-size SUV, which is actually the new generation of Equinox models that were just released overseas in January this year. The Explorer Plus will provide two interior and exterior design styles of RS and Activ, and carry 1.5T plug-in hybrid power with a pure battery life of 155km.

The Explorer Plus will be available in two interior and exterior design styles, RS for sport and Activ for off-road. In terms of appearance, the Explorer Plus in the picture is equipped with RS kit, which adopts the latest family design language, the front face shape is more square and tough, the split headlights are full of science and technology, and the large size smoked black center net with the red RS logo further reflects the sports style.

On the side, the new car has a blackened roof and AB pillars, and a wide body with the same color C-pillar, similar to the design seen on the Ford Explorer and Land Rover Discovery. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the overseas version are 4653/1902/1667mm, and the wheelbase is 2730mm. From the rear, the new car is equipped with a Y-shaped taillight design, which looks very recognizable.

In the interior, the new car will be equipped with a three-spoke steering wheel, and use an 11-inch digital dashboard and 11.3 inch center control screen for a more technological interior. Chevrolet has also upgraded driver assistance and safety features, including enhanced lane keeping assist, automatic emergency braking with collision warning, adaptive cruise, blind zone alert, rear traffic alert with automatic braking, lane change alert, and more. In terms of space, the trunk volume is 845L, and it expands to 1799L after placing the rear seats.
